There was a problem with a server at my ISP, and The Juggling Writer was down for roughly 24 hours. (My main site was back online yesterday, and the site for my podcast came back, but with a missing sidebar.)
It was a good reminder that while I back up my writing, I need to be better about backing up this site. I back up the database daily, but I need to be better about backing everything up.
I’ll get back to posts about writing later today — I just wanted to let everybody know what happened yesterday.

I lost two chapters of my WIP because I failed to make frequent back ups. That was more than a year and a half ago, and I’ve been rigorous about it ever since.

Paul,
I’ve never lost writing, but my ISP’s first real problem in years made me realize that a daily backup of my blog’s database isn’t enough.
All the images…everything else — I need to be much better about backing that up, too.
