A stop at a campsite results in Mary and Margie fighting over June’s ashes. After Michael tells James about Lucky’s possession, the Inferno launches its most vicious attack against Michael yet.

It’s a short chapter this week, mainly because there’s more dialog than usual. Also, a warning to people listening while driving to or from work: there’s are a few sudden car horn sound effects in this week’s episode. So don’t be startled — it’s only The Inferno!

I’m completely enjoying this series. Even though I know the story and have read it – long time ago – I love hearing the story. I’m reminded how funny it is; I love the descriptions; your reading v oice is great and so are the sound effects. Just an enjoyable time and I don’t want it to end.
Mary,
I’m glad you’re enjoying the podcast. I’m having a blast recording it. When it hit me that I’m over 1/3 of the way done, I got kind of bummed. I want it to go on, too.
I don’t know what I’ll do after Hell Comes With Wood Paneled Doors, but I’m definitely hooked on podcasting!
I appreciate the warning about the car horn. I wish you’d have included that in the intro, since I didn’t read the show notes until after I listened. Wow, that got my attention. I was on I20 headed into work at the time, and a blaring car horn is not all that unusual.
Keep up the great work on the ‘cast. I’m grooving on it.
Larry,
I need to get better with my commentaries. I write down the “Last Week” and “Next Week” recaps, but kind of wing it with the rest.
It’s a safe assumption that every episode will have any or all of the following noises:
Car Horns
Car Engines
Car Crashes
Mary Yelling
Michael Yelling
Explosions
Splashes
Smacking Sounds
But especially with car horns, I wish I had thought to include it while doing the commentary…not while writing the show notes.
