Hell Comes With Wood Paneled Doors is a humorous coming-of-age story about a family traveling cross country in a possessed station wagon written by Christopher Gronlund.
Before becoming a novel, Hell Comes With Wood Paneled Doors was a screenplay. The screenplay advanced in the Austin Film Festival’s “Heart of the Screenplay” competition (comedy category), and was considered for development by Castle Rock Entertainment and Warner Brothers.
There were stops along the way Christopher wanted to include in the screenplay, but couldn’t due to page limitations. Using the screenplay as an outline, Christopher turned Hell Comes With Wood Paneled Doors into a novel. The novel allowed for a deeper examination of the characters and their adventure. Oh yeah, and more room for fart jokes!
Hell Comes With Wood Paneled Doors is written by the smirking guy in the picture, there–Christopher Gronlund. He’s a technical writer and editor by trade, but he’d rather hop in a car and hit the open road. He loves road trips so much, he’s even written about them for the Dallas Morning News. Christopher blogs at TheJugglingWriter.com. When he’s not writing, Christopher likes to juggle and spend time with his wife, Cynthia Griffith.
Born on the north side of Chicago, Christopher now lives near a lake in the Dallas/Ft. Metroplex.
